About Our Summer Camps
WHAT WILL CAMPERS LEARN?
Our curriculum has been developed by our expert instructors. We want students to not only learn the language, but love it and the many cultures of the people who speak it. Cultural activities and art are a huge part of our program.
Throughout the camp, basic learners will be immersed in the culture, while learning vocabulary like numbers, greetings, calendar, and other key conversation skills in Spanish! Intermediate and Heritage learners will expand their knowledge of speaking, spelling, reading while continuing to develop their conversational skills.
Each camp will incorporate activities that focus on vocabulary and conversation acquisition through games, music, dance, literature, writing, and more.
A TYPICAL FULL DAY AT CAMP
At CASA de ESPAÑOL, a typical day at Spanish Camp promises a blend of excitement and learning. Including classes for basic, high basic, intermediate, and heritage speakers, we tailor our curriculum to suit each child’s age and fluency level. Each day brims with engaging activities aligned with the camp’s overarching theme. With four 45-minute rotations in the morning, a leisurely hour for lunch, and another four 45-minute rotations in the afternoon, campers immerse themselves in vocabulary enrichment, conversational practice, art, and music. Additionally, they enjoy 45 minutes of snack play and supervised free play both in the morning and afternoon sessions. Students who are more advanced in their Spanish skills also practice reading and writing depending on their age. It’s a dynamic experience where language acquisition meets fun-filled exploration!
Snack and lunch must be brought to camp from home.
